Capping Reagent A – 10% Acetic Anhydride in THF
Tetrahydrofuran : Acetic Anhydride (90:10 v/v)

This capping reagent A formulation consists of 10% (v/v) acetic anhydride in tetrahydrofuran (THF). It is used during the capping step in solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis to acetylate unreacted 5’-hydroxyl groups and prevent formation of deletion sequences.
