Zetadex-25 medium desalting resin is a beaded composite size-exclusion gel developed by emp BIOTECH composed partially of cross-linked dextran. It exhibits high selectivity, high resolution and chemical stability.

Zetadex-25 medium can be used for

• Preparative desalting before downstream purification
• High-salt removal where perfect separation isn’t critical
• Situations where pressure drop must be minimal

Molecules purified with Zetadex-25 medium resin are separated according to size. Smaller molecules pass significantly slower through the column than larger molecules. Buffer and pH effects on resolution are minimal.

The size exclusion cut-off for Zetadex-25 medium is set at 5 kD for proteins and 10 bp for nucleic acids. Purified biomolecules are not significantly diluted when processed using Zetadex-25 medium.
