Zetadex-25 Superfine desalting resin is a beaded composite size-exclusion gel developed by emp BIOTECH composed partially of cross-linked dextran. It exhibits high selectivity, high resolution and chemical stability.

Zetadex-25 Superfine desalting resin is typically used for:

• small sample volumes
• Analytical or semi-analytical work
• When you want the cleanest salt–protein separation

Typical use cases

• Polishing steps before MS, NMR, or sensitive enzymatic assays
• Desalting peptides or small proteins where dilution must be minimized
• Situations where band broadening really matters

Molecules purified with Zetadex-25 Superfine are separated according to size. Smaller molecules pass significantly slower through the column than larger molecules. Buffer and pH effects on resolution are minimal.

The size exclusion cut-off for Zetadex-25 Superfine is set at 5 kD for proteins and 10 bp for nucleic acids. Purified biomolecules are not significantly diluted when processed using Zetadex-25 Superfine.
